What made the founding father’s and their bill of rights innovative?
Like what were some key aspects that you would define as innovative? Would it be that the founding fathers created a government that put the people in the front line? The removal of Church and state connection – the rights as “Americans” being undertaken unlike their “rights as Englishmen” for which they were not provided. Any other examples that you think exemplify this exceptional addition to our Constitution?
It begins with the words “We the people”, and then lists the rights of the people.
As such, it established the idea that political power flows upwards from the people, not downwards from divine or other absolute authority.
