How much is a five pound coin worth?

I have a five pound coin which I have been holding onto for sometime now, in the hope of it getting more valuable…Is it worth it? how much are they worth? How much are they likely to be worth in the future?

unless it is a quite rare one it’s unlikely to be worth more than £5, in fact if you sold it you’d possibly not even get the £5 for it. I have 6 £5. well they are the kids but i have them put away for them. Maybe in about 50yrs time they might end up with some value. I also have a £2 from 1986 last time i looked on E bay those ones were not even selling for the £2 value
