Early Half
Is 7 and a half weeks too early for a puppy to leaver her mother?
I have purchased an Akita puppie from Texas and the owner is shipping her in to me at the age of seven and a half weeks old. She has her first shot, and has just gone to the vet for her checkup. I have read that puppies should stay with there mothers for 8 weeks. Is “Ora” going to be ok leaving 4 days early?

Yep, it’s too early.
Sounds like a backyard breeder or a puppy mill.
Since it’s only 4 days, why wouldn’t the breeder simply keep it those 4 extra days? What other good breeding rules is this breeder trying to slide under on?
