Eagle Reverse
What would cause an automatic transmission to not shift into 2nd gear and have problems with reverse.?
I have a 1994 eagle talon and it currently does not seem to want to shift to 2nd. I took it at about 25-30mph and it wouldnt shift. during this time it had a good amount of power so i am unsure if its the transmission or something else. also when its in park and i put it into reverse it sounds like it engages but barely crawls back even at 5k rpms and has no power backing up. Hopefully someone will have had a similar issue in the past. I found something about an end clutch but that sounds likes its for auto trannies that have issues into 4th.
wore out bands clutches,weak pump,bad/missing electrical connection/servo bad…
basically you will need more than a fluid change to fix it.
i would suggest contacting a local transmission shops and get estimates for repairs
because its a mechanical malfunction,or a parts failure
