Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals Inc’s Double Pain From Darvon And Darvocet Lawsuits
The dead body of a 22 year old young lady found in her apartment caught some people’s attention last April 9, 2009 where the cause was the taking of painkiller for eight days. Kira Nicole or Nikki’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gilbert and Tammy Cincinnati were so depressed for her sudden death but finally decided to file Darvon and Darvocet Lawsuit Settlement against Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals Inc., the company that distributes Darvon and Darvocet products.
Although there has been a lawsuit filed already by the Cincinnati family, the original manufacturer of Darvon and Darvocet way back year1957, Eli Lilli and Co. made their own statement claiming that the young lady’s death has nothing to do with the pills but it was because of the heart failure. They added that when she tore a knee ligament at work, she was then prescribed by Darvocet pills.
Mrs. Cincinnati strongly disagree with the claims made by that company, instead she told them that her daughter has no history of heart problems and they were just so obedient to let her take the said pills hence it was prescribed also and because of their confidence of the drug’s information. Nikki’s parents’ fight to the pursuant of their Darvon and Darvocet Lawsuit even became one of the top nine (9) lawsuits in the U.S. district court against Xanodyne, a Kentucky-based company that also sells Darvon and Darvocet products which happens to be the top sellers in Xanodyne. It should be remembered that Xanodyme got those Darvon and Darvocet products from aaiPharma Inc. last year 2005 for the worth of $209 million but eventually interrupted by the FDA or Food and Drug Administration requesting the pulling out of Darvon and Darvocet in the market. Xanodyne’s profit gains are very much impressive and improving for the businessmen and even their clients too. However, the issue of propoxyphene found out its relationship with heart toxins. But isn’t it such was what Eli Lilli and Co. insisted about the death of Nikki? Darvocet Lawsuit not only creates company’s turmoil but also double pain towards the negligent company like Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals since now that they lost their two top sellers and at the same time has a lot of refunds in millions.
