Does coinstar take Kennedy Half Dollars?

I have a bunch of recent Kennedy half dollars which are not worth more than 50 cents to collectors, and I am wondering if coinstar machines will take these coins. Any Ideas?

Yes, the coinstar machine will take Kennedy Half Dollars.

Coinstar machines in the US will take the following coins:

1 Cent (except 1943 Steel and Indian head)
5 Cent (all, including new design)
10 Cent (except Silver 1964 and prior)
25 Cent (except Silver 1964 and prior) (including State series)
50 Cent (except Silver 1969 and prior)
1 Dollar (Susan B Anthony, Sacagawea and newer Presidential series)(except Eisenhower dollars)

But, why not just take them to the cashier at your bank?
You would save the 9% service fee if you didn’t use the Coinstar machine!
