Does anyone know about the super tiny quarter dollar of 1978?
I’ve seen this real quarter that’s like 5mm in diameter that was made in 1978. any information would be great cause it’s really wierd…
You have a novelty item and it is not real nor was it made by the mint. There are miniature cents through dollars and I see them for sale in the two weekly coin magazines all the time (Coin World & Numismatic News). They have been around since the 1960′s so coins dated then were made in that time frame, yours most likly was made close to 1978. The Secret Service usually leaves alone exact copies of U.S. coins and paper money as long as they are real small or very large. There are 3″ copies also. Hope this helps and they also sell for only a few dollars for a complete set of the small ones and each for the big ones.
