Dollar Collector

Does this old five dollar have any collector value?
My moms grandfather was an owner of a bank the one in the picture shown,http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo197/MIKE_YAHWAK/fun%20stuuf/momny4.jpg
Where can I get Information on this?
That is called a National Bank Note. Those are all rather good as far as collectible value goes, and that one is actually a somewhat scarcer than normal bank.
Your note is a 1929 Type 2 (with the charter numbers next to the serial numbers). Here are links to three major National Bank Note dealers. Between the three of them, I saw one Meyersdale note (a 1902 $10 for $730). That is good for you because it means you have a scarce note. Contact the dealers linked below for more info – I would guess your note would sell for about $200, perhaps more.

eBay has a separate category for National Banknotes:

Good To See You Again, Alice Cooper – Live 1973 – Billion Dollar Babies Tour $7.00 They billed it as “the film that outgrosses them all,” but if some of the antics on display in Good To See You Again, Alice Cooper – Live 1973 seem fairly mild some thirty years after the fact, that’s mainly because people like Marilyn Manson and some of the more lurid punk and metal acts copped many of their moves from Cooper in the first place. This movie, which combines footage from the band’s … |
