what happens if I don’t pay my $15 dollar debt to a collection agency?
North Shore collection agency has contacted me asking me to pay a $15 debt that I spent on a magazine subscription. I am only 17 years old and currently unemployed. What would happen if I don’t pay the debt? And what would happen if I were to become employed?
Just pay the $15. Otherwise your credit will get ruined. It will show on your credit report as collection. You are only 17 and have a whole life ahead of you. Don’t let 15 bucks messed up your credit. If you try to buy a car or a house in the future, you will have a problem. Either you will get denied or you have to pay higher interest rate. That will end up costing you 1000 times more than $15. Not worth it. Just pay it. Remember, a lot of employers these days also look at candidates’ credit before hiring them. Don’t risk it.
