What should I do in regards to my broken air conditioner? PLEASE HELP?
The repairman said I need a new compressor, which costs 1900 dollars. But he recommended getting a whole new unit, which is 3,000 dollars, since my air conditioning system is 10 years old.
So do you think I should get the compressor for 1900 dollars, or would it be better to just buy a whole new unit?
That all depends on your financial situation. Also, you could shop around and find one that costs less than $3000. If your A/C is over 10 years old, you’d be better off getting a new one. Check out other places, Home Depot, Lowe’s, WalMart. Keep in mind, too, someone will have to install it for you..that will cost you, too. So saving on the unit could offset that expense.Good luck..:)
