Dimes Clad

ive got a 1969 quarter thats a clad coin, but its the thickness of a dime, the ridge is there , ideas?
its the thickness of a dime, just about the size of the quarter, it has the edge around it like a dime or quarter, silver shine on both sides, with a 5% silver shine missing at the top of washingtons head
added info to my question, washington is fully visable an the back of coin is fully visable aswell,it has the notched edging arount the coin as a quarter has but it just a hair smaller across then a full size quarter ,its dated 1969 an is as thin as a dime
A dime planchet would fit in the collar that is made for a quarter. It would also make the dime planchet bigger. Of course most of the images on the quarter would be missing. It could also be a damaged coin, someone could have done the damage. On this type item, it has to be seen to determine just what happened. You can try several coins dealers or maybe there is a coin club in your area. I would need to see photo’s of both sides and the coins weight in grams. Best I can do for now.
