Dime Rolls
Which combinations of rolls of coins are in a “round” in a supermarket?
(Note: this only applies to supermarkets in the U.S…. and maybe not even all of the U.S., at that)
When I used to work in a supermarket, the cashiers, when they needed more coin currency for making change, would purchase a “round” of coins from the store manager. This “round” was a combination of rolls of coins of different values which totaled either $20 or $40 in value (I don’t remember which… probably $40, though).
For example, a cashier would tell the manager that he/she needed a “round”, they’d pull a couple of $20′s from their drawer and give them to the manager and the manager would give them something like… 2 rolls of quarters, 2 rolls of dimes, 2 rolls of nickels, and 6 rolls of pennies (I *think* that all comes to $40). Problem is, I don’t remember exactly what the combination of rolls was. Do/did you work in a supermarket or grocery store? How many rolls of each kind of coin are in a “round” where you work(ed)?
A $20 round is one roll of quarters, one roll dimes 2 rolls nickels 2 rolls pennies, guess just doubles for 40
