Can i use the gts on soul silver from different game boys?

I have been using my cousins dsi for the gts. I think I am getting the 3ds tomorrow because of an awesome deal at gamestop. Can I still access the gts from the 3ds? I have heard that you can only use the gts from one game system. Is this true?

Nope, whoever told you you can only use gts from one game system was confused : You CAN use it in ANY DS just as long as you have a compatible connection with your DS. OH and! Yeah buddeh! The 3DS dropped 80 bucks! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Good luck!
