Different Barber

How can I tell my barber of 15 years that I want to try some place new?

So the barber I go to has cut every man in my family’s hair so as you can see is is very old. I think he is like 50 or so. Anyway I want to go to a different barber because he is getting old and losing his touch, and because my hair almost NEVER looks the way I want it to. How can I let him down gently and tell him that I want to go someplace new without him being upset or angry at me?

You don’t have to say anything to him-you don’t owe him your loyalty as a customer or have to feel obligated because others in your family used him. You’re a grown man so simply start going to a new barber, that’s all.
