Has DJ Hero got a chance to topple the sales of Guitar Hero?
With DJ Hero well on its way to becoming a success is it possible it can beat the same companys game, Guitar Hero? More than likely not. There are in fact many reasons for this.
Guitar Hero has a very successful back log of games that seem to out sell the past instalment every time a fresh addition to the franchise is released. Another point is that many people would rather pay out for rock songs rather than club. However with the release of Band Hero the pop market of songs is also going to be thrown out there so the company are actually competing against themselves in three different ways this side of the year.
Looking at it DJ Hero is still going to be a unique game. Along with the game for £90 comes a DJ turntable controller that will let you mix and scratch your way through over one hundred songs ranging from 80s all the way to Motown and Punk. There are many artists already confirmed
KRS-1
Beastie Boys
Foo Fighters
LL Cool J
DJ Shadow
Hashim
However like the Guitar Hero games it is recommended that if you are actually already a DJ that you do not go and trade in your DJ Speakers and DJ Software for this game in the same way trading in your musical instruments for Guitar Hero was not a good idea.
However the game itself looks like it could be a big success to the people who are interested in being a DJ but cannot afford to take the time and money to take it up as a full time job. Just like playing the guitar, being a DJ takes a lot of time and effort to do and this is just in place for people to have a bit of fun with in the holiday season and beyond.
