Have you shared multi-day parkhopper tickets to Disneyland, Anaheim?

I learned that Disneyland relies on the trust system (meaning no fingerscan technology) concerning the multi-day tickets. I’d like to share a 4-day park hopper ticket with a friend, meaning I’ll use it for 2 days, my friend will use the remaining 2. Has anyone tried this and can you tell me if you ran into any trouble at all?
