Connecticut Clad
Where are the best places accessible from Boston MA to take fall foliage photos?

I am looking for the best (i.e. most stereotypical) places to take fall foliage photography in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut etc; preferably forests, lakes, small towns, white wooden-clad churches etc. Travelling in early November (a little late, I know). Don’t have a car but happy to get the train or bus and walk for a few hours to get out into the wild. Any advice much appreciated, thanks : )

early November?
You missed peak season in or near Boston
Your best bet will be in southern Connecticut and southern RI
Peak season in Boston is mid-October

I would highly recommed you reschedule to mid-October
You will find great foliage within the city of Boston itself, especially in the Back Bay Fens and Harbor Islands
Just outside the city, you can head to Mount Auburn cemetary in Cambridge and the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton
Other great places will include:
the Mount Holyoke Range in Western MA
Quabbin Reservoir, western MA
Wachusett Reservoir West boylston
Mount Wachusett, Priceton
Blackstone Valley Heritage Park, Uxbridge

in fact, most cities and suburbs will have excellent fall foliage. You travel almost anywhere in the Boston area and see great foliage without even trying
