Where can I find a complete DVD set of Doctor Who (Original and Recent)?
Help me! I’ve searched all over, and I’ve come up short. If anyone has any suggestions on a website where I can find a complete set, I’d be eternally grateful. If you only know where to get the complete set of the original or recent series, that will work too (provided that, in the end, I get both!). Please help! I’m desperate!
Not all of the classic Dr Who episodes are available on DVD yet. These are being restored and released each month through BBC worldwide / 2 Entertain and licensed for sale worldwide. Some early classic episodes were lost forever back before the video age when they were trashed by BBC archives. This mostly affects stories from the Hartnell and Troughton years. Some of the missing episodes are however available as audio only CDs.
The Doctor Who Restoration Team website lists all the current classic series that have been (or are currently being) restored and released (link below) on DVD. All of the new series has been released and is available individually and as boxed sets. Check Amazon.com or your local BBC media distributor. In Australia (where I am) you can do this through the ABC shop (online and in store).
