Coin Good

Which would be a better investment – cornering the market on a single coin or buying a basket of good coins?
Ignoring risk of collecting a single coin vs many different good coins, which would be a better investment?
If you attempted to buy up all of the single same rare coin, would that make a good investment?

Buying a basket of good coins.

You cannot ignore risk if you want to determine which is a better investment.

In my opinion, no. You would drive up the price of the coin and have to pay very high prices for the coin once it became hard to buy. However, to realize a profit from your investment you would have to sell, and once you started selling the price would probably drop quickly.
When you are talking about really rare coins, the prices are so high that the market is not very liquid. That makes it difficult, but not always impossible, to make substantial profits.
