How I do tell if my 1974-S proof brown box Ike $ is clad or silver?

I think as a kid I pd like $85 in 1980. I wasn’t aware that there were more than one version of the 74-S proof coin. I bought it at a coin show, so it wasn’t like I was being swindled as the price was marked in an open display case. Are there any indicators to tell the difference between a silver version & the clad one? The silver one commands a high price ($4500?), the clad I can get on ebay for $13. So either I overpaid, the market stinks, or I bought a really good investment. Please help!

If the coin is in it’s original packaging (a brown box that slides open to revel the coin in a clear plastic holder with the words “United States Proof Dollar” below the coin and very small lettering in the bottom left corner “Packaged by The U.S. Mint”) then this is the silver clad version of the proof coin. As stated by someone earlier, it looks like you purchased this coin when silver prices were at all time highs, so the coin itself, which contains 40% silver, isn’t likely worth more than $14-15.
