How to set up a business phone number so that I get paid when people ring ?

Hi
I have my own small business and I get most of my work through my phone. I am looking for ways to make money through my business so that I can bring down prices in my work itself. I think its called a premium rate number (not to sure) and is something like 80 cent or so a minute to ring. Does anyone know what Im talking about and how to set this up??

Thank you

just google for premium numbers..
most suppliers will let you buy one…
They used often to be rented per month (partly to prevent everyone just picking them up)
and you expect to cover the costs of having them and whatever service you provide by the income they generate – you also do not get all the revenue.. it is a share of the revenue.

but remember, that what you get with one hand, is taken with the other.

If I have to choose between a buisness that charges me to call and one that does not… when I am a prospective customer or even a current client… I know which one I choose.. not least because it gives the image of a ‘want to nickle and dime’ me service.

You would be much better advised to just build the costs into your general operating costs (and ultimately charged to the customer) than lose custom and prospective clients UNLESS it genuinely is a support service that they need to put some contribution towards or be made to think twice before calling/could really do it themselves.

But your call, you business…
