Is 10 cents per kw? fixed good for 12 months electricity?
i am moving and i want to find the cheapest elec, i live in tx (dallas) and im moving to tarrant county. i also saw an offer for 9.4 cents per kw but it isn’t fixed. what do you think is the best deal? is 10 cents good? electricity is confusing
I pay 8.4 cents per kWh
My parents pay 6.5 cents (practically all hydroelectric)
It all depends on where you live as to whether that rate is “good”, or not.
If you think you can live with the number of kWhrs dictates by the 9.4 cent rate before it goes to the next tier, then go for it.
I can’t answer how much you use. You’ll have to dig up old utility bills and see how much you typically use. If you can’t find any old bills, then find someone with your lifestyle and living conditions (apartment, house, same size, same appliances, etc.) and ask them how much they use in a month.
You’ll also have to know whether you use more in the winter or summer. For Dallas I would suspect it is more in the summer.
