Why do politicans fight for free trade agreements and then do not enforce the parts that protect American jobs?

Part of the so-called agreements include labor laws abroad. Meanwhile the partner country uses child and slave labor for 50 cents a day and then people here blame union workers and taxes for jobs moving overseas to obtain 50 cents per day labor.

Foreign Countries affect who gets elected by using their wealth to make campaign contributions. This makes them a powerful lobby. That makes them more important than American workers.
