Nashville Locals: Please Answer! Reception ideas for wedding in Nashville, TN.?

My fiance and I are getting married Sept. 22nd. We have decided to rent the Bicentennial Capitol State Mall for our ceremony. We are going to get married in the Amphitheater. Tentatively we have our reception being held there too… but forgot about dancing, how humid it will be etc… I am trying to find a few inexpensive reception sites that could hold dancing, music, catering etc… We have all that, just need a location that rents for cheap with no catering service charges since we already have that taken care of!
Thanks so much!

Since you already have the catering set up. Why not ask them for places. They really know a lot. Since it is downtown, and sounds really big, why not try for an outdoor reception, but then you will get a LOT of party crashers. There are several hotels in that area, and other convention halls available. Let your fingers do the walking through the Yellow Pages!
Also call the Chamber of Commerce. For a party that size, they should help you out tremendously.

Do you have a lot of guests coming into town that will spend the night? Try to get them to go to a specific hotel. In doing so, you could get a banquet room for nothing.

Temperatures are very nice at night in September, and this is not the normal rainy season, so humidity will be low.
