Sarah Palin, Discovery’s Newest Reality Star
Sarah Palin and producer Mark Burnett have been shopping for buyers for a Sarah Palin reality show, and Discovery network has taken out low interest loans to be the highest bidder. This Sarah Palin reality show will most likely be an “Alaskan Travelogue,” though there have been no official statements yet. Sarah Palin’s reality show will be the most expensive show Discovery Networks has ever produced, beating their $25 million “Earth” series.
Sarah Palin’s reality show plans
The Sarah Palin reality show is sure to draw in viewers; she is one of the most controversial women in American politics. Discovery will be paying over $1 million per episode of the Sarah Palin reality show. Sarah Palin is not entirely new to reality TV – she did make a cameo appearance in a 2008 documentary on the Iditarod race. The release date and name of the Sarah Palin reality show have not yet been announced. The producer of the Sarah Palin reality show say it will be more of a travelogue that “will center on interesting characters, traditions and attractions in the 49th state – with the ex-VP candidate as a guide”.
Sarah Palin and reality TV
Sarah Palin has never been shy about her frustrations with the media. In her book “Going Rogue” Sarah Palin said several times that she saw the media as “intrusive” and “difficult to handle”. In previous interviews, Sarah Palin was asked about the possibility of a reality show in the future, and she reacted with surprise, stating that she wanted the media to stay away from her family. This is not to say that Sarah Palin has shied away from all media attention – she is now a commentator on FOX news and has done hundreds of media interviews. Since she was announced as McCain’s Vice-Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin has certainly gotten guaranteed payday loans from her celebrity.
