Cameo Liberty

I want to dehydrate apples. What kind of apples should I use? How long do I leave them in the dehydrator?
I have an old-ish cheap dehydrator. It is made by RonCo, it has several removable racks and a heating element. It does not have adjustable heat and does not have a fan.
Here are the different types of apple that I have to choose from:
Pinova
Jonagold
Gala
Braeburn
Cameo
Fuji
Granny Smith
Liberty
Pink Lady
Rome
Winesap
Does anyone have the knowledge or experience to recommend one type of apple over another? Has anyone used a dehydrator similar to mine, and learned just how long to keep the apples in there? Are there any secrets I should know? I know that they will brown unless I treat them, I know that the skin, if left on, can become tough. I have an apple peeler-corer-slicer thing so my apples will be in uniformly thick rounds.
Help
i personnaly like sweet apples, leave out the granny. i have an old dehydrater and for thin sliced fruit chips you can leave them 6-8 hours. peeled of course.
