Cabin Birthplace

Can you enter James Buchanan’s Birthplace?
James Buchanan was born in a log cabin in 1791. The log cabin was moved twice, first from Stony Batter Run to Chambersburg (1925), and then from Chambersburg to Mercersburg (1953), where it can be seen today at the Mercersburg Academy. Can you enter the log cabin and see inside?
I can’t find any information on how you actually get inside but I have seen pictures of the inside. I’m not sure if just the door is open and you can LOOK (it is only one room after all) or if you can actually go inside.
I don’t see any information on the Mercersburg Academy site but based on the outside pictures of the cabin I think you can go visit it any time the school is open. You can always call the main number to ask:
