Beautifully Toned
Waxing fiberglass bumpers and side skirts?
I have a two toned car. the main body is black but the bumper and side skirt is a tan light brownish color. the main body shines beautifully thanks to wax, but when i try to wax the skirts and bumper, the shine isn’t as deep as the main body so it looks awkward.
is there a technique or brand that you would recommend to use on the side skirts and bumper?
i currently use meguiars nxt generation liquid wax.
Not really. The paint on the plastic parts is a little different than paint on steel. The gloss is never quite the same.
Plus, black is a very deep and reflective color, while the metallic tan simply will not provide the same gloss as the black does. Even if you repainted the tan areas to perfection, the metallics in the paint will refract light instead of reflecting it like the black does.
