Anniv Proof
is it true that OBAMA supporters broke RON PAUL’s money bomb record?
on dec 16 the anniv. of boston tea party, ron paul supporters donated over $6 mil in one day. the average donation was under $100 and the money bomb was organized fully by grassroots supporters, not planned by paul’s campaign. the media practically ignored it and now everyone on answers is acting like obama beat his record recently. yet i can’t find any proof of this. please help/clarify.
hillary and obama broke the record? i searched google under record for one day fundraising and nothing but ron paul came up. im not talking about overall fundraising, just for the one day record. if anyone could provide a source it would be great. thanks.
i would like websites/sources/proof
No Senator Obama and his campaign did not break Congressman Paul’s record. Senator Obama has raised more money over all than the Congressman but that is because of the enormous donations from special interest groups, PACs, corporations and wealthy individuals.
Ron Paul still holds the record for individual contributors in one day. At under a $100 per person, this means over 60,000 people were motivated to send their money to a candidate who had been roundly dissed by the media.
Congressman Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the “one exception to the Gang of 535” on Capitol Hill.
