The American Frontier is the name for whatever land is west of the currently occupied America. Like, in the 1800s, when the Louisiana Purchase was made. There was all this unexplored territory that was called “The American Frontier.” Then, with the addition of Oregon Territory and all that land from Mexico…
I guess now, space or the moon is considered the American Frontier, although that’s a bit sci-fi 1960s point of view.
For a symbol, the first thing that comes to mind is a buffalo, or maybe a covered wagon, a little house on the prairie family.
